There are many reasons to adopt. Infertility, loneliness, wanting siblings for children at home, wanting to make a difference.
Our reasons for adopting are many as well.
My husband wrote a paragraph for the reasons that we are adopting for the agency application. It is so awesome that I couldn't let it only be seen by one person.
Our
life together has been blessed with children.
Each with his or her unique ways of showing how much love they have to
share with us and each other. Their bond
with us and ours with them and each other grows stronger each day as we
discover new ways to grow as a family.
For nearly a year we have discussed
the possibility of adopting a child. Now
our hopes and dreams of sharing our love and faith with another child have been
brought to the attention of our biological children. To find out that they were as excited about
it as we were made us both realize it was time to make our dream come
true. From the words of my son, “Yes,
I’ll finally have a baby brother” to the look on my daughters faces when they
could only reply “Awe”.
For us it is simple. To adopt and give our new son a mother and
father is as much a dream for us as it is for our children to have a new
brother to love and share with.
